My 135is has been sitting in the garage for a couple months now, protected from evil Wisconsin winter. The weather's been cooperative lately which has cleared the roads, so I took the 1er to work today instead of my Grand Cherokee. It's collected some dust while sitting.
Of course, I got a tire pressure light from the car having sat for a couple months, so I went to a gas station for air. I have now learned that the BMW tire pressure warning tells you which tire is low, but does way too much nagging about it.
I should probably swing by a car wash on my way home.

switch to nitrogen. Costco sells it. will stop fluctuating tire pressure during the colder months

Yeah but then if you do need to ever top up a tire you need to go somewhere that has nitrogen. Regular air wouldn't be annoying if tire pressure warning systems weren't so annoying.

It's so dumb. My car has this little screen between the tach & speedo that shows stuff like clock, temp, etc. There's another little screen with odometer & gear indicator. When the tire pressure warning happens you get:
1) A warning ding
2) Tire pressure warning light
3) Low Tire indicator on the screen between the gauges that shows which tire(s) need air
4) "You have a warning" exclamation point icon next to odometer
There's a button to dismiss the Low Tire indicator and get the clock, etc. back on that screen. But no matter how many times you dismiss it, the Low Tire screen KEEPS COMING BACK. So you have to have that staring you in the face instead of a nice convenient display of time & outside temp.
Why you can't fully dismiss that Low Tire indicator (because the tire pressure light and the little exclamation point next to the odometer should be enough of a reminder) baffles me and makes me want to curse the evil engineers who decided to implement this "feature."

I DD'd a 2011 328i with the exact same setup!
You can dismiss it, then 5 minutes later it COMES BACK!

Costco being a generally convenient place to get nitrogen in your tires doesn't help if there's not a Costco nearby.
While I do have a Costco close to home, I take semi-frequent road trips to places where there's no Costco nearby. I'd rather have the ability to top up the air in my tires at any old gas station.
Also, I usually buy my tires at Discount Tire.
